Arbortuff Tree Service is a young, hard-working crew out of Machesney Park, Illinois. We’re local guys committed to bringing premium service to our community. On the job site, we treat each other like brothers, and we treat our customers like family, because through the grind, real families are formed.
Our mission is simple: protect people, build trust, and grow a name that means something. Every customer should feel like they chose the right crew, like they got more than what they paid for.
For us, it’s not just about cutting trees. It’s about showing up with respect, working smart, and doing it with heart. We’re building something long-term, and that means putting our signature on every job like it matters — because it does. Arbortuff isn’t just a service – it’s a mindset. It’s a family. It’s a lifestyle. And we’re only getting started.
We’re a local team built on grit, not handouts. Founded by Kyetin Lindquist, Arbortuff grew out of a passion for hard work, mixed martial arts discipline, and the belief that doing things the right way matters. Our crew treats every project, big or small, as if it’s for family. When you hire ArborTuff, you’re getting more than a service; you’re getting people who care about leaving your yard safer, cleaner, and better than we found it.
We handle the tough jobs most people don’t want to touch: tree removals, trimming, storm damage cleanup, stump grinding, lot clearing, planting, and more. Whether it’s a single dangerous limb over your roof or a full property overhaul, we’ve got the skills and equipment to handle it. Our clients trust us for fast emergency response, reliable scheduling, and results that go beyond expectations.
Arbortuff’s approach is built on safety, precision, and respect. We climb and rig using industry‑standard techniques to protect your home and property. We work efficiently but never cut corners. Every job starts with a clear plan and ends with a spotless cleanup. No drama, no mess, just honest work done the right way, because that’s how we’d want it done at our own homes.
I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon. I grew up with grit.
My name’s Kyetin Lindquist, and I was raised right here in Rockford, Illinois. Life threw its punches early. I lived with my grandparents til 2nd grade. I lost my dad in eighth grade and I had to grow up fast. I have two little sisters who went through the struggle with me. I moved in with a friend’s family just to get away from the chaos, but little did I know that house was full of its own problems, but it taught a lot: no one’s coming to save you, no one is perfect and you’ve got to take what you have build it your own way.
I bounced between jobs, made some mistakes, and took some wild turns, but I always worked hard. I was lucky to be put into sports at the age of three. It formed me into the ultra competitive, high striving person I am. Eventually, I got introduced to tree work when I was living in a Fight Gym. It was dangerous, exhausting, and technical – and I loved it. Climbing trees, rigging down limbs, and building a business gives me the excitement I need in life. I started training in mixed martial arts at the age of twenty and it gave me discipline and purpose like I’ve never had. Now that I’m building an empire I’m even more focused than before.
I still fight and actually that’s how I got the name, Arbortuff, during my weightcut on my way to Indiana to fight in a cage. I was sitting in the car dehydrated and miserable, that’s when I jumped out of my seat and yelled to Virginia,(the mother of my child) “Arbortuff!…. That’s the name of my business”. I went on to win that fight by knockout in under 1 minute. Training MMA will be a lifelong journey for me to keep my mind and body right.
At first, I was just a guy on a crew looking to build. But no one gave me the opportunity to lead so I went and created it. I started learning everything I could — not just the physical side, but how to lead, quote jobs, talk to customers, and build a brand that actually stands for something. I want a huge family that loves and respects me for the man I am.
